Current P.A.R.K. Students
Tyler Desbrow
Tyler Desbrow had bragging rights the day he received his ACT score of 23. It was the highest score ever for a P.A.R.K. student! It was a happy day at P.A.R.K. “Tyler is an impressive young man that is going places,” declared Monique Hickman, P.A.R.K.’s education outreach coordinator.
“When he started this program in the eighth grade he was quiet and often hid his confidence and intelligence behind his long hair. During his time here at P.A.R.K. we have seen him emerge into a young man that is a proud example of P.A.R.K.” Currently a senior at Parkview Arts/Magnet High School, Tyler is involved in the Art Club at school. His hobbies include guitar playing, hanging out with friends, and skateboarding. When asked what P.A.R.K. has meant to him Tyler said, “P.A.R.K. means a place to do my homework, because I probably couldn’t do it on my own.
It has helped me stay focused on school.” It must be working. Mrs. Hickman says he is focused and determined to reach whatever goals he sets. “I know he’ll do great things as he heads off to my alma mater, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.” We look forward to seeing what goals Tyler sets at UA, because if his high school success is any indicator we know he’ll achieve them.
